The Uncharted Seas is a large ocean that encompassed the known world of Gaia. It is the stage for Oceanhorn: Monster of Uncharted Seas. It formed when the last glaciers were melted by TRILOTH during the Catastrophe, raising sea levels critically. Much of the continents was submerged, leaving behind these islands scattered across the ocean.
Main Islands[]
Main islands contain one or more sublocations, such as dungeons or specific houses. The Kid spends much time on these main islands and often has reason to return to them.
Minor Islands[]
Minor islands are very small locations without sublocations. There are nothing but treasure and Bloodstones to be found here. Home Island is sorted here for its small size and lack of sublocation, despite the enemies encountered there.
Description[]
Despite the distances between the islands, the Uncharted Seas are regularly traversed by merchants[1][2] and adventurers.[3] Merchants are encountered on the ocean, while adventurers and travellers leave notes behind or tell about their travels.[4]

Main page: The Catastrophe
During the final years of his reign, Archimedes plans to raise the White City beyond the atmosphere, using the Grand Core. This process will, however, destroy life on Gaia. The banished warlock Mesmeroth learns of this plot, and forms a Dark Army to force Archimedes to abandon his plan.[20] Mesmeroth suffers a defeat, allowing Archimedes to nearly complete his plan. In the last minute, Mesmeroth uses TRILOTH to attack the White City. The dark energy melts the last glaciers on Gaia, resulting in a critical rise of sea level. The continents of Arcadia, Pirta, the Outlands and Submeria are turned into simple clusters of islands dotted around the world.
Post-Catastrophe[]

After the Catastrophe, Oceanhorn and the other Living Fortresses keep roaming the Uncharted Seas, terrorizing the inhabitants in their search for their pilots. As a result of the rising sea levels, climates changes and the natural habitat of the Owrus begins to wither, driving the race to near extinction a millenium later. A brave Owru warrior travels across the Uncharted Seas to put an end to Sealurk's terror on Riptide Reef.
Blackhat travels across the Uncharted Seas until he meets Mary and has a family. When Oceanhorn finds him, Blackhat leaves his Home Island behind in order to contain the Living Fortress at the old Arcadia Ruins. His son, the Kid, begins his journey across the Uncharted Seas, on a quest to locate and collect the Sacred Emblems. He visits every available island of the Uncharted Seas before he finally seeks out Oceanhorn to destroy it and allow Gaia and the Uncharted Seas to finally start recovering from the Catastrophe.
