"The Great Forest once expanded all over the Pirta continent, but now only this small island remains. Deep within it lies the Forest Shrine, a sacred place of Owrus."
(Father's Journal)

The Great Forest is an island containing what is left from the Deep Jungle of Pirta. In the middle still sits the Forest Shrine Pyramid, where the Emblem of Earth is held. Turmos is the first big boss the Kid has to face and defeat.

Hero Approaches Great Forest

Description[]

Map-universal-OH

The Great Forest has lush vegetation, thick forests and plenty of grassy areas. The Forest Shrine is a sacred place for the Owru and it is still protected by their warriors.

History[]

The Great Forest used to be the heart of Pirta, a location known as Deep Jungle in Knights of the Lost Realm. Due to the Catastrophe, however, the Beacon of Pirta was fully destroyed and the Emblem of Earth was taken into the Forest Shrine. The massive destruction to the all ecosystems of Gaia and the melting glaciers, caused Pirta to be divided into smaller islands where flora and fauna faced different difficulties. While the Withered Lands are dried up, the Great Forest was able to retain it's humid climate and be home to the last few Owru.

The Kid comes here on the quest to find and collect the Emblem of Earth. At the shore of the island is bottled note from his father; he is being warned of dark forces. When the Kid comes close to the entrance to the Forest Shrine, he is being attacked by a mysterious female Owru warrior. He manages to defeat her but she flees instantly, allowing the Kid to proceed. He continues into the Forest Temple and recovers an ancient Owru weapon: Bow and Arrows! When he reaches the main hall of the temple, he faces Turmos, the demon plant brought about by the curse Mesmeroth set upon the Emblem of Earth.

The Kid manages to defeat Turmos and claim the Emblem of Earth. Neyto talks to the Kid, promising to help him rebuild the world. Rigger is overjoyed to be able to come here again safely. The mysterious Owru woman, called Feathers, and another male Owru join Rigger to start a new page in the history of Owrus.[1] Rigger gives the Kid an acorn from the last tree standing on Withered Lands and asks him to plant it somewhere special.[2]

The Owru remain at the Great Forest,[3] while the Kid continues his adventure, searching for the Emblem of Ocean next.

He can return any time to look for more treasures.
